Chocolate. The answer to all of my questions, slash problems. More specifically, Hershey's chocolate kisses. My love for chocolate started a couple years ago when my mom would buy Hershey's milk chocolate kisses around Christmas time. I would sneak a ton of handfuls in my bag before I would go to school or a basketball game for cheerleading or just bring them up to my room to snack on. They are delicious. Hershey kisses are easy to snack on, they melt in your mouth, and the wrapper comes off very fast, so the faster I can open the foil over the kiss, the happier I am. I picked this ad because I personally believe that this ad perfectly represents my two favorite sweets in the entire world: chocolate and ice cream, it’s love. Hershey's is trying to show their consumers that their chocolate can be eaten with anything, such as an ice cream cone. The brown color of the background brings out the special color of chocolate that only real chocolate lovers can recognize. Real chocolate lovers can always sense and see chocolate from a very long distance and I feel like this is what Hershey's is trying to imply in this advertisement. Even though there are not many images in this ad, the picture of the Hershey kiss on top of the ice cream cone depicts that a Hershey kiss is like "the icing on top of the cake." A kiss can complete any dessert, just like chocolate can "cure" all your problems, at least for the time being.

What's up periodic table?
From now until the end of my future pharmacy career, this picture of the periodic table will always have an impact on my life. I have completed one third of my pre requisites for the pharmacy program. After two semesters of completing general chemistry, I have collected an abundance of periodic tables. For every test and quiz I have taken, I have been given a periodic table that looks as plain and boring as the one pictured above. This diagram, picture, work of art, whatever you wanna call it is a reference for me to remember elements and their properties. I chose a black and white periodic table because that’s what science is to me. You are either right or wrong. There is no in between or vague concepts about science. It is all known. Although the periodic table shows only a few letters coupled with numbers, it represents a lot. The periodic table represents my love for chemistry and it all started in the tenth grade with Mrs. Himmelberg, the not so nice teacher of Fairport High. Even though she wasn’t the greatest teacher, learning about the elements on the table fascinated me because each element is different in its own way, it involves math, and staying focused. For example, when doing chemistry experiments in lab every Thursday night, I need to make sure I follow the directions and read carefully because I could burn my hands with an extremely concentrated compound such as sulfuric acid, which is very acidic. In conclusion, this table basically sums up the past year, present, and the future of my career whether it takes me into pharmacy or not, I know it will be a part of my life.

Cancer Cannot Take Away Memories
This picture of my Nana and I after my last cheerleading competition in Florida will be cherished forever. My Nana recently passed away from malignant melanoma and it has had a big impact on my life because I realized that she had a passion for taking pictures and pictures of family and friends hold a lot of value. Pictures have the capability to bring back memories and keep them close to us because pictures are physical evidence of what has happened in the past unlike our brains which are not as helpful when we are trying to remember the past. Pictures spark our memories to that exact moment in time to where we were, what we were doing, and who we were with. When my mom was putting together picture boards for the funeral for everyone to see, she was telling me how happy she was that my Nana had albums upon albums of her life because we could reminisce about her childhood, her travels, our family gatherings, and my Nana's big smile. Pictures leave behind a legacy of your life and are able to tell a story with just a glance at it so it's important to capture as many memories as you can. And now it's my turn to start snapping shots of my life because I know that's what she would want. Rest in peace Nana, I love and miss you very much. P.S. Your pictures are deeply cherished!!
